Pat Brassington : "Space for Dreams #4" (2009)

1942 Born Hobart, Tasmania, lives and works in Hobart.
Education
1983-85 M. F. A. Tasmanian School of Art, University of Tasmania. 1976-81 B. A. Visual Art, School of Art, Tasmanian College of Advanced
Education, Hobart.

Pat Brassington use of photoshop. The effect of movement with the young girl jumping and spinning around. Pink in this image is quiet dreamy and soft. The wall gives an infinity effect with the floor and skirting giving stability

She has perhaps used masking to create the colour walls and floor and black and white girl. The girl would be on a separate layer to enable positioning.

This reminds me of a happy childhood, dreaming and playful, open spaces. Maybe a new house with no furniture in it yet.

Helena Blomqvist Artist

Helena Blomqvist creates her images using Photoshop to make them look ghostly. They have a cold, haunting  feel about them. The use of channels and layers in Photoshop creates the lovely effects, quiet airy, this give the image great depth. The pastel and soft colors give a misty look to the image.

Helena was born in 1975, lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden. Her art is about time, ghosts and innocence.
