Week 5: Camera Use Self Direct Task Light: Direct, reflected, diffused

Auckland Harbour Bridge 28 March 2015
(Lights by 2degrees)
F8.0 20.0 ISO100 EF24-70mm 35mm Original

Composition of the photo is complete with the rainbow in the background. The curving pavement leads the eye to the background. Positive space, using the reflection of the vehicles on the right keeping the photo balance.

The reflection is in all four corners cropping the photo. This was amazing when I noticed the crocodiles heads in the water. Image enhanced in Camera Raw and gradient used to lighten the background.

The biker completes the image not just scenery adds some character to the photo. Reflection and leading lines, created by the water on the decking. The photo was enhanced and the gradient tool used to brighten the right top side.

Direct sunlight creates a softening effect of the subjects hair, glowing. Warm colours created by the setting sun in the background.

Cropped photo no negative space filling the area with the subject better composition.

Direct light subject are all well exposed, good contrast of colours.

 F2.8 1/500 ISO400 EF24-70mm 59mm

Reflected light image is more exposed on the right side less light foreground. Cooler colours with the setting sun.

F2.8 1/2000 ISO400 EF24-70mm 24mm

F2.8 1/640 ISO400 EF24-70mm 24mm

Direct and diffused light, highlights the Oak tree casting shadows, softing the colours. It looks like a spot light has being placed to the right side and pointing down. Negative space in the foreground creates DOF wide angle.

Tight crop. Tree and children more noticeable.

Diffused light.
