Week 6: Camera Use Ernst Haas

Ernst Haas
Ernst Haas (March 2, 1921 – September 12, 1986) was a photojournalist and a pioneering color photographer. During his 40-year career, the Austrian-born artist bridged the gap between photojournalism and the use of photography as a medium for expression and creativity.
He served as president of the cooperative Magnum Photos, and his book The Creation (1971) was one of the most successful photography books ever, selling 350,000 copies.

The reflection captured by Ernst Haas. The swimmer looks like she is on the opposite side of the glass with the reflection perfectly captured.

This picture taken by Haas has reflection and direct light. This captures the front of the vehicles exposing the yellow. The direct flash creates a silhouette of the people walking across the intersection and shadows. Amazing composition leaving you to wonder what is about to happen next. This photo has emotion and mystery. The photo could be a duo tone of both colour and black and white, the yellow complete the image.
