The blue cover over the pool creates a blue effect over the subject.  (left)

The photo (left) does not change that much once the Hue /Saturation and Vibrance was applied.

Black and White: Targeted Adjustment hand tool used to make a high contrast black and white portrait. This doesn't complement the photo looks over exposed.
